General Information about White Desert
The Great Rann of Kutch is located in the Kutch district of Gujarat and Sindh province of Pakistan in the Thar Desert.It is in the size of approximately 7,505.22 square kilometers and it is considered one of the world’s largest salt deserts.This area is inhabited by Kutchi people.This “RAN” comes from the Hindi word, which means “desert”.Hindi word is taken from the Sanskrit Vedic word Iriya, which is evidence in Rigveda and Mahabharata.

100 km away from Bhuj, this sanctuary is spread over an area of approximately 7505.22 square kilometers. In many other different types of wildlife, which can be found within the reserve, there are three different types of bastards in the sanctuary.The sanctuary covers only 2 sq.Km area area.But there are some excellent species, including Hareeri, Common Cranes, Black Outridge, Sand Depth, Black and Gray Franklin, Spotted and Indian Sandgraze, Quail, Lark, Shear, Courers. , Power, Imperial Eagle, Flamingo, Deer, Egret, Sandpipers etc.Some other wild animals present here are wolf, caracal, desert cat, wild, striped hyena, fox, mouth, blubul, chinkara, thorny tail lizard, and various types of snakes.
Kutch Museum
The oldest museum in Gujarat, the Kutch Museum claims the collection of extinct Kachhi scripts and ancient coins. In tribal art pieces, there is also a part of the museum with many other types of exhibits on the work of embroidery, painting, weapons, musical instruments, sculpture and precious metals.
